I made this cake as a surprise for my aunt and uncle on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. They used to love going away in their motor home. I used a photograph of it to help me get this cake right. Sadly they are now both too unwell to go away on their own. The look on their faces when the cake was presented at their party was just priceless, and I will never forget it. The cake is a simple vanilla Madeira with vanilla buttercream and homemade strawberry conserve, covered in fondant.

Thank you. It was fairly straightforward, although I did worry a bit about the area above the cab, in case gravity got the better! Fortunately not! X
