Rainbow cake

A couple that I know, very entertaining and warm by nature, celebrated their anniversary a few days back. I wanted to bake them a cake and what better than a rainbow cake for a very warm couple. Wishing them many more colorful years of togetherness.

This is a very basic vanilla cake with rainbow colors used in layers to get the right effect topped with buttercream frosting and a few royal icing roses :). The cake looked very simple when I took it in, but the moment it was cut, there were OOHHHs and AAAAHHHs, which felt nice :)
