Mermaid cake

This was made for my daughters second birthday. I was still new to making figures so had planned to use a doll for the waist up, only to realize at the last moment that the doll I picked was a one piece.
So about an hour before the party I started making the mermaids body.
I liked the effect I got on the mermaids tail as well as the cake but was so unhappy with the top the mermaids body I kept complaining about it the whole party. Being self taught can be a fun as well as frustrating experience.
After the party I spent almost two days practicing modelling the mermaid.
