My dad and his friends have money on the Lions this year so for his friends birthday he wanted a Lions themed cake. This was my first time doing a helmet cake, it was a good learning experience. Base and helmet are cake, all decorations are fondant except for the buttercream piping around the letters and logo.

Great job!! I also have that challenge to do a helmet.
Thank you! It was definitely a challenge. specially getting the fondant smooth around the front, as you can see I had some trouble with that. Getting the facemask the right size was also difficult for me, I had made it too wide so I had to actually break it in half to make it sit flush against the sides of the helmet :/ I hope to try another one so i can put my learned experiences to use! :)
