These are cake balls I baked from the Wilton ball pans. I used icing to connect the two halves together & ONLY crumb coat the balls, then freeze.
I used a slightly thicker fondant to cover 1/4 thick and as any other technic, carefully use your hands to press the fondant around until you are at the bottom of the cake ball. cut out about 1/2 around the call and carefully; without pulling, press the fondant to close the opening.
I used airbrush paint to draw on the calls after it dried a little then added some silicone molds or edible gems.
Sorry if I sound I bit off on my directions, went through surgery and my wonderful meds are finally kicking in…LOL
