The Shoe Cake

This really looks like a tutorial on how to make a shoe cake. But NOOO. it is in fact my personal photo documentation of how i made my FIRST shoe Cake.

I have an issue with saying “No” or even “let me think about it”. I just blindly say “Yes” and then sit back and think ….. How am I going to do this? And this was definitely one of those moments. I have learnt over the years that No Fear is the way to go. Don’t let the cakes no that you are frightened of them ( I use the same rule of thumb with my kids) and hopefully instincts, skills, and perseverance kicks in and you come out a winner in the end.

It was actually freaking me out a little, making this cake. The more it came together, the more I giggled to myself, surprised at how much a cake could look like a dirty old shoe. The only part I don’t like about it, is the fact that it looks like it would smell.
