Dec. 17th 2019 marks the 30th anniversary of The Simpsons…“Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire,” premiered on Dec. 17, 1989. The first episode of the series that had begun as animated shorts two years earlier on “The Tracey Ullman Show”. Who could have predicted that it would still be making us laugh with new episodes 30 years on. It has now achieved the record for the series with the most number of episodes and has received 34 Emmy Awards during its 30 year run.

Members of The Cake Collective have joined together in collaboration to create edible versions of some of their favourite characters, as a fan tribute to this record breaking show.

Sherri & Terri
I was inspired by Sherri and Terri, the twins. They are quite bright students (they even have their own language) and are often very conniving and mean, even to each other. When it comes to Bart they are quite stuck up, and never miss an opportunity to berate him.
I found a picture of them sticking their tongues out to each other, loved the pic and painted them like that on fondant. I hope you all like it.
