This was a real labour of love. The couple wanted to discover the gender of their unborn child through a cake. No biggie? Well it is if the grandmother is me! Eek!

Lowest tier features a hand painted Winnie the Pooh and Piglet sitting on a log, with the cute quote, “How do you spell love? You don’t spell it, you feel it” – all painted in cocoa butter! I’m not really someone that can paint, but I enjoyed this one!

Middle tier featured yellow and grey bunting, not giving anything away!

Top tier was a handcarved cake in the colour of the gender! I carved, ganached, airbrushed and and handpainted the details. Then I created little honey bees to buzz around the honey!
