Hi guys! This was for my mum’s birthday earlier in the year. She loves feeding and watching the birds in her back garden, so I thought this was perfect. The cake is her favourite vanilla butter cake with buttercream and strawberry jam. The birdhouse is vanilla sugar cookie. I made my own template from card to make the house. There are lots more tiny little bird cookie’s inside the house. I used a heart cutter and halved it to make the bird shape as I didn’t have a cutter. The wood grain effect is royal icing.
