Playable Angry Birds Grooms Cake

This was the first grooms’ cake I ever made. It was a surprise for the groom – a 5 foot long fully playable Angry Birds cake. I made all the pigs and birds out of modeling chocolate. We screwed a real working slingshot into the board so that he could actually “play” at the rehearsal dinner. The logs for stacking were wafer cookies. This cake had to be picked up and then make a 2 hour trip to its destination to be set up by the bride. The groom was thrilled and they said it was the highlight of the wedding!
