This is my second attempt at getting poor Herman to look suitably spooky!! This time I cast his face in the Wilton Pan I used to bake him….used candy melts….then sponged on his colour with dust/vodka mix…..

Thanks Naomi!! I bet it will!!! doing it with candy melts means you can do it in advance too, and if it all goes wrong, at least not wrecked the cake and can recast!! If you do try with the melts, just beware….they took a long time to set in this tin!! I did it in the morning and then popped it in the fridge, and there it stayed until late afternoon!!
