Golden Wedding Cake

This is a special anniversary cake for my very special parents who are celebrating 50 years of marriage. The buttons and the cotton reel are significant as to how they met all those years ago. We’re celebrating with friends and family tomorrow and this is a surprise addition to the party. The top tier is fruit cake, which is my dad’s favourite, the middle tier is lemon sponge and buttercream, and the the bottom tier is a vanilla sponge filled with rose flavoured buttercream.
