Cake for a dutch cake contest, Theme: Travel!
I wanted to make a special theme cake,.. no suitcases, no globe, no standard items with the theme travel. So i start thinking about the early ways of traveling… and i found a Christmas picture of a dutch artist. I translated that picture into a palanquin and two tired bearers. They have to carry all the goods along which the madame bought at the market.
This creation shows the break the bearers have, with their red tired faces…
i loved making this scene.
