Blossoms Tree

Well, this cake will forever be special to me. I made this last year for my husband’s grandmothers 87th birthday. She passed on New Years. I remember when I was placing the blossoms on the cake that she was like the family’s “Tree of Wisdom”. She was such a godly and wise woman. We miss her so much. The bottom layer was a half sheet and the top layer was a quarter sheet to give it that “step/ 3-D” effect. I used chocolate icing to do the trunk (the Duncan Hines one that comes in a can to frost cupcakes) and the blossoms and leaves are fondant.. “Feliz Cumpleanos” was hand piped with a 4 tip. To me it’s one of my MOST BEAUTIFUL CAKES…only because she was so beautiful herself!
