There’s a lot of first with this cake for me:). My first time doing a flower pot cake and also my first time making sugar Gerbera’s. I rarely get to make sugar flowers and enjoy every bit of it when I do get to make some:). Absolutely love the way it all came together.

While working on the the ridges on the flower vase, it did feel like I was working on the potters wheel:). So therapeutic indeed:)

The cake itself a refreshing lemon cake, filled with vanilla buttercream to compliment the citrus flavour of the cake.
