This was a seriously fun cake to make for a gorgeous couple who were celebrating a combined 100th birthday! The theme was the roaring 20’s and they wanted to incorporate elements of their fancy dress into the cake.
The bottom tier is wrapped in an edible Art Deco inspired print, the middle tier features a jewelled and feathered headband and a hand cut silhouette of the dancing couple. The cake is finished with a top hat, edible gloves and a string of pearls.
Inside we had two flavours – the double barrelled middle was a lemon meringue layer cake and the top hat and bottom tier were a dark chocolate brownie cake with salted caramel..
