Newlyweds, Cary and Brent Askeland said their “I do’s” at the quaint chapel at Zorgvliet Wine Estate nestled in between the mountains and vineyards. Their cake for their special day was a “Naked” sponge cake decorated with fresh flowers and fresh fruit which was then sprinkled with icing sugar to finish of this elegant look.
By the way,the weather was34 degrees – how do you keep a naked cake from drying out??? Give it a good spraying of a citrus flavoured sugar syrup before tiering it up!
