My husband and I are celebrating 18 years of marriage today – that seems so surreal! Our marriage is old enough to vote! He’s my partner, my friend, my cohort, my sounding board, my soft place to fall. He believes in me – more than I believe in myself and pushes my sanity to the limits at times. And even though he says it’s our kids, I think I’m probably the cause of the majority of his gray hair – lol! I’ve now known him half my life and I’m better for it. <3 I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine.
The cake In honor of our celebration (that will most likely involve running several kids to practices and eating sandwiches in the car – glamorous, right?). Gumpaste mistletoe leaves with red holly berries, sugared snow tier, Burberry plaid with button accents and aged, crackle wood planks.
