This is my labour of love from the past weeks and it won a Silver Award at the “Art of Sugar” in Zurich, Switzerland the past weekend. It was just a rather small competition, I know, but I am so over the moon about it anyway…

My vision was blue on blue with all-white flowers, for a special contrast and I really like how it came out. The gingko leaves are wafer paper and the amaranthus is made with flexique, I love this material!
First I wanted a floating effect for the bottom tier, but finished there was something missing. So I added the little feet to make it look like a cake stand and that was the missing piece.
