Caterpillar 1st Birthday Cake

I made this cake for a beautiful little girl turning a 1 year old. Her favorite toy is a plush caterpillar. The parents wanted a smash cake as well. The cake is a two piece creation: the big cake is two tiers high and covered in fondant; the caterpillar cake is iced in piped frosting (hence the smash cake) and slides away from the big cake. The caterpillar is an exact replica of Samantha’s plush caterpillar. By looking at the “after” pictures, Samantha enjoyed her caterpillar smash cake.

I made all the decorations (even the hanging bees) out of fondant…and even did some painting on the large cake. Can you find my little red ladybug? I drew inspiration from a cake I saw on-line but had no info as to the baker/creator, :o( Beautiful cake, though.
