A friend asked me to make a birthday cake for her mom who is turning 83. She said she likes find a word puzzles so that was the theme. I used an image of a find a word book as my guide and included words that she gave me which have meaning to her mom plus added “happy birthday”. I made it volume 83 since it was for her 83rd birthday. I used edible markers to draw the puzzle and to make the pencil logo.

Due to the heat and humidity here, the cake gave me some grief but in the end I was happy with it as was Susan :-)

She loves the gingerbread cake I make so that is what she requested. I only ever make gingerbread for Christmas so it smelled all wrong in my kitchen for it being the heart of summer!
