Pirate Birthday Cake

Made this cake for my son’s best friend. His 4th birthday theme was Pirates and his Mom wanted a pirateship as his cake. They loved it! The cake was almond flavored, filled with almond buttercream and covered/decorated with marshmallow fondant. For the sails I used scrap-booking paper that looks like fabric, painted blue stripes on the paper with food coloring gel and gave some brown touches to make it looks old.
