Pearl and Lace Mini Cakes

These delightful little cakes were made using the 2.5” mini cake tins and the Mantilla Lace Sugar Veil Mat. The theme is as always, vintage. Made for a small wedding party.

They are lovely! Can I ask you, did you use sugarveil ‘icing’, or just the mat and fondant, please? The lace is so delicate!

I did actually make Sugar Veil icing. With this mat, it is very fine. With the ‘cheat’ method it’s harder to get the thinner texture and cut the shapes.
