We present you today, a wedding cake with an original theme, that we’re waiting for so long. Indeed, the bridegrooms wished that we work on the theme of Jack and Sally, from the famous movie " Nightmare before Christmas ". They also wished a green Volkswagen’s combi on it. The bridegrooms absolutely wanted the characters are modelled in 3D and to tell the truth, it was a challenge for us, that not had never realized it.

We began to set up three tiers of cakes, covered in white, on which we settled so smart lace of Silikomart. We colored in black it, to stay in the Tim Burton’s dark universe, modelled and added delicate buttons of black roses on the angles of each of the tiers. To mark more extensively the side " Nightmare before Christmas ", we placed, in regular rhythm, the portrait of Jack. For the topper, we modelled both characters in sugarpaste. Two major difficulties gave a headache to us: the sharpness of the members of the characters and the level of ornamental details on each of them. It was necessary to us to make several tries before finding the good combinations. We then placed them on the top of the wedding cake and we started the elaboration of Volkswagen’s combi, in flat design. We took a photography which we decomposed into about twenty pieces. After the cut of each of them, we assembled them in a mini puzzle to give life to the car, with a small wink to the bridegrooms on the license plate, where we registered their initials. We finally placed it behind the characters to finalize the scene. The bridegrooms were delighted with this very personal creation :)
