This is a dummy cake…I have to say…I will never do the “cut geo design” again…unless I try the transfer method…took FOREVER!

I love the green on the flowers…I used basic flowers…calla lilies, sweet peas, hydrangeas, tiny daises, ranunculus & berries on wire curled…

3 Tiers

1st tier – light grey swirl in fondant
2nd tier – darker grey swirl & half tier covered in chunky silver sprinkles
3rd tier – cut geometric design & covered the board as well (won’t ever do that again)

Putting wire in dummy cakes is very hard… I did make some briar roses…off wire though…and they were too heavy to stick on (although one did make it on the cake)…good thing I didn’t put them on wire…b/c I don’t know how I would jammed them in…it was hard enough even when I made sprays…

If you don’t know…one way to make the briar rose…the wire is simply an “L” shape…so that can easily come out if you have to mess with it too much…and I was messing with my sprays so much…

The cake is in silver…the big leaves are silver…I like that with the flowers…nice contrast to me :)

The “LOVE” are marquee letters made from gum paste & sprayed with silver color mist…I added tiny daisies & some berries around it…I felt it added interest…
