I made this cake at the weekend for a joint 50th birthday celebration of James and Rosie. Their daughters came up with many wonderful ideas about what their parents love and what needs to be on the cake, and so in the end I tried to incorporate all of these and make it into one big family scene. Elements that had to be there was the Brooklyn bridge for dad, ponies for mum, the PI number, cheese and beans and the family cat. I loved making it.
