I wanted to make something that represented the entire family in this cake. the expected parents were have male twins. I made the tree on the top tier to represent the family tree and I put an apple on the tree with initials of existing family members. the parents are each holding a twin and each twin has a small apple that will be added to the tree once they are born. the tree also has the family name carved in it………..I even put their dog in mix. all hand sculpted.
