This was my idea for my own birthday cake – the ruffles are the pattern of the Ipanema pavement (sidewalk) by the beach… somewhere I have walked up and down a lot in my lifetime!
Flowers are tropical inspired and handmade from gumpaste, as well as the rest of the details on the cake.
