I was asked to make a book cake for a Head Teachers retirement party. “Greedy Gertie” was a made up story by the teacher herself & she used to tell the story to her pupils. I made the cake in the school colours & added the school logo.
It was a 10" Gluten free sponge cake, this was a first for me, I was dreading making it, but to my delight it came out better than I expected.
