30th Birthday cake for Rory, ordered as a surprise by his lovely wife. She sent me pictures of Rory and his kite and I tried to re-create him in sugar as best as possible, down to the pattern of his beach shorts.
The cake is decorated with a mix of hand painting and airbrushing to create the scenery on Dollymount beach, with a view towards the landmark Poolbeg chimneys.
