Today we celebrated my granddaughter Ella’s Baptism and her first birthday! I sketched and re-sketched this cake so many times. When it came time to actually make the cake, I had to steal time from anywhere I could, to get it done-and I couldn’t get every single detail onto the cake as it was sketched.
This was the first time that I used the silicone cupcake mold. LOVE IT! Also, the first time making carousel horses and covering a petal shaped cake in fondant.
The cake was placed on a Kopykake electric turntable and was a huge hit.
