My client wanted a fun cake for her friend’s surprise birthday party. She wanted it to be festive but not Christmasy & with the Tiffany blue color but not a Tiffany box! So I decided to stencil it with a lovely damask pattern in white, which I then airbrushed a metallic pearl, & added a shiny silver embossed bow & ribbons. The ‘tissue paper’ is actually wafer paper, which worked great!

The box and the lid are both cakes, albeit the lid is a very thin cake! LOL! Both are my Southern Italian Cream Cake with cream cheese filling, from my mom’s old church cookbook. It’s my favorite version ever! It’s iced in white chocolate ganache, with fondant decor.
