I made this cake last year for my lovely Dad. It is inspired by the amazing Mike McCarey. It is all completely edible.
It challenged my skills, its one of the most complicated cakes I’d made at that point, and it was worth all of the hard work when I saw my Dads face. He never cut into the cake and asked for the bits I’d cut off to eat instead :-)
I absolutely loved making it.
