My Nephews Birthday Cake

My Nephews Birthday Cake

It is two 8 in square on top and a 13×9 below.

Fondant was made fresh with marsh-mellow. Modeling Dough was used for the Creeper and TNTs placed around the cake, the dough was mixed with some colored fondant to make the outer skin on the Creeper. The white on the TNT is fondant. The square pumpkins are colored fondant with modeling dough as the stems. The fresh butter-cream covering the 13×9 was colored brown slight and mixed with crushed Oreo’s for a Dirt effect (it helped that it kept cracking while the cake was being transferred back and forth from refrigeration to worktable). the Last TNT on the bottom of the screen is actually laying on the icing from the Oreo’s that were crushed for the butter-cream. There were a few mistakes and a lack of supplied that also made making this cake a challenge, the total time spent is averaged at 3 days. The cake batter was also strengthen with instant pudding prior to baking which actually increased the height of the two 8 inch chocolate cakes lol. Now I have more supplies and am able to make cakes in a calmer setting than before.
