The series revolves around Shaun, a sheep with very creative human intelligence on a farm low which class he is the leader of the flock. In each episode the protagonist always tries to solve a problem with the help of his friends even before they are discovered by the farmer.

The episodes take a combination of slapstick, silent comedy, with no dialogues even by human characters. Thus, it is reminiscent of old films of silent comedy. However it is shown grunts, sighs ballads or expression to distinguish each character humor.
