This is a quadruple barrel cake (is there such a thing? – 6" round by 12" high). Well, while I thought this would be a good idea (to have a very tall cake) – only once I had stacked the cakes did it suddenly occur to me – “how on earth am I going to smooth the sides – eeek” !! . I managed in the end :-) . This is a cake I just finished for a friends little boy – I really hope he likes it. Everything is awesome!! Thanks very much to the Violet Cake Shop for your Emmet tutorial – while I didn’t follow it exactly – it’s a brilliant tutorial and gave me a really good start.
