First time trying petal ruffles and really like the effect. This is for my wonderful mum who turns 65 years young today, i seem to have fallen into a bit of a novelty cake rut so was really excited to try something a little more sophisticated! A wee 6" chocolate and caramel cake xx

Love the cake and the colors. Which tip did you use? I do cupcakes (novice) and am getting interested in cakes. Thank you.

Thank you, MSTRE this is done using gumpaste, and the 5 petal rose cutter to make lots of little blossoms, which are then kind of scrunched up and attached to the side. Search petal ruffle tutorial and that should bring up how to for you xx
