This cake I designed for a 50th wedding anniversary. They were wartime newlyweds and weren’t able to have anything other than a courthouse wedding, so their children asked that “it looked somewhat like a wedding cake”. I just love how the cake turned out. Many of these flowers were first time experiences for me, but truly happy with how they turned out. Top tier was raspberry/vanilla swirl with whipped vanilla icing and white chocolate ganche crumb coated. Bottom tier was chocolate with mini semi-sweet chocolate chips, chocolate buttercream and chocolate ganache crumb coated. All fondant finish with gumpaste flowers and succulents. Hope you enjoy!!
