The Owl cake
I made this cake for my little niece Isla who turned one last weekend. My sister-in-law wanted the owl theme cake, different shades of pink and purple colours. This is my favourite colour combination.
The flavour of the first tier was chocolate with dark chocolate ganache and chocolate buttercream. The second tier- gluten free chocolate with chocolate ganache and the owl topper was made of two vanilla gluten free cupcakes. One of my daughter’s is coeliac (complete gluten intolerance), so when we have the family celebrations there is always something gluten free.
I have to thank Laura Loukaides for good advice how to take photos, she is such a talented photographer as well as the cake decorator. Her work is just amazing!
