This was my first-ever attempt at painting a ‘watercolor’ scene on a cake. Be gentle! I am no artist with a paintbrush, so I thought I would experiment on my poor unsuspecting family. I figured if it went horribly awry, at least it would still taste good under the mess! But I was actually somewhat pleased with the result.

The cake is Caramel Pecan Pound cake with Salted Caramel Buttercream filling and Caramel ganache. (My mom wanted caramel, can you tell? Ha!) It was delicious. :-)
