No, it’s not just you! I always enjoy reading the journey to the final creation. It is always interesting and I do try to give at least a brief descript of each piece that I post. Good topic!

In almost every cake post I include that information Angel. I too enjoy reading how everything was made. I try for my description not be too lengthy tho. Many members don’t have time to read through or don’t want to be bothered. Many members just want to see the cake picture, and are satisfied with that.
Creativity is God's gift to us. Using our creativity is our gift back to God. Clarky's Cakes 😎
In general I agree with you. I usually enjoy reading a bit more about the cakes. If it’s too long, though, then I just skim over what was written.

I like to know the size of the cake, materials used and technique if any were used. Size and scale are the hardest things to see in cake photos because a 10’, 8", 6" cake can look the same as an 8", 6", 4" cake, but hey, that’s just me!
Psalm 127:1 Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain.
Hi Angel, I feel the same way. I love reading and learning about the cakes, I will always read the description of every cake I look at. Also I try to put as much detail as I can in my cake posts, as well as making them a little fun to read. It’s also a good idea to add as many tags to a cake post, then they will appear more in searches. I do understand though that some people don’t speak very good English, so in that case it’s fine.
