I seriously doubt you could match the reds exactly, even if you had the same brand red used previously. I think your best bet is to get as close as possible and don’t worry about it. It is highly unlikely anyone but you will ever notice. Hopefully, you will be the only cake decorator present, so not to worry!

Thank you Sandra, I thought that might be the case. I just started doing it again. You know though it will niggle me forever now lol It was really silly of me as I always use Americolors but the recipe said Wilton so I thought I’d give it a try, I didn’t realize you need so much more of it! Thank you Toni and Sandra, it was the most challenging cake ever, I think the heat didn’t help and boy was I glad to finish it and have a slice 😊 I’ve decided from now on, only to experiment on cakes that are for myself!
