Brilliant gazette Sharon!! Especially loved reading your article on people leaving comments, and I totally agree!! Would be so lovely if people could comment more on members that don’t have as many followers and maybe don’t get so much feedback. Like you said we have all been there and it’s wonderful when someone takes the time to say some thing nice.

Thank you Toni, Clara and Elli for your support. It is always hard talking about these issues but hopefully no body takes it the wrong way and we all have the same goals which is to just embrace our members no matter new or old or how exceptional their talent. Definitely should not be a popularity contest.

Hi Sharon… I love your total honesty… including the way you feel starting out, through to colliding with collaborations! I agree with every word.
I definitely prefer to interact with people and am drawn to those people that have time for others.
As for the new social media site, I did sign up, but most of the “benefits” being talked about… I find right here at CD. (But like starting again, with no friends!) My life has many dimensions, and I guess I haven’t really had the time to embrace it properly.

Excellent Gazette, Sharon. There is something else about Cakes Decor. I have discovered and met some of the most talented people and their work that I didn’t know before. I am, sadly, often late with my comments but rest assure, I love going through everyone’s cakes, flowers and collaboration pieces. Not just cakes; they make up our community art gallery and a learning experience for us all.

Brilliant read as always, so many totally amazing cakes and designs.
Loved your article about cakes decor and could not agree more with every word. Funny how we all aspire to get to homepage and then daily top 3, I think it is just a natural human instinct to challenge ourselves and try and reach the top. I did learn early on it isn’t just about being on homepage, it is about being part of a wonderful and supportive community where we all have a love for cakes, where we can learn, ask questions, share experiences and support each other every day. Thank you for another brilliant monthly gazette xx

Thank you all for your wonderful words, even though most of you leaving comments are the same ones I see everyday being the most supportive all round. I love that there are those of us that do and also want to say that even if you are new here that does not mean you should not comment. The only way to meet people is to reach out to them. A comment here or a like there all get noticed more than you think. The more involved you are here with everyone and not just your “click” the better the experience you will get. Love you all and I think I have seen more comments this week so lets hope we can keep that momentum going, Big hugs!

curiAUSSIEty custom cakes I haven’t been able to thank you properly for naming Delicut Cakes rising star this november. I have been working so hard getting everything ready for CI Birmingham 2015, designed reinforced boxes to carry the work, travelled by car and ferry 1750 km there and and another 1750 back, (just arrived home today) and to make masters worse, having to rely on bad wifi connections made posting anything anywhere virtually impossible. So now, that I am back home, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. These last seven months have been incredible and this is the cherry on top!!!

Wonderful site. I came here from another cake site that was so much DRAMA. I love it here. I love that artists can get recognized by their art. That you can learn from others visually and through tutorials.
