re: Airbrush/painting marzipan?

So I went and had a little play this past hour onto an already marzipanned fruit cake that I never got to use…I didn’t do any smoothing as I like some texture on my surfaces. . So yes, you can paint onto marzipan and with no marzipan showing through, the bee, apple on left and lemons is in cocoa butter, the other apple I used edible dusts mixed with colour essence (I used orange, as it smells great) it’s far better than vodka as it dries quicker…
Here is my rough results.. And what fun I had, so thanks so much Christine for raising the subject as not only did I learn something new with your query, but got to give it a go too… I have pianting classes coming up soon, and also there will be video ones available on Pretty Witty Cakes and Paul Bradford in next couple of months :) ….
I’m looking forwards to seeing your creation and yes your masking will work well with stripes …. Have fun xxxx
