Dear Judy,
The story behind this cake is just a little requested from my dearest son, who was turning five last week. He ask for a book cake, which have to have orange colour and some animals on it. I was so frustrating about my weakest skill of making figurines. I then switch around with all kinds of tutorials to find out some of the animal figures tut. And I found one really interesting from Carlos Lischetti’s book has a tut of those 2 mices.
After I finished the cake, I show it to my son. He jumped up and down and claps his hands with joys, I feel relieved. He shout:“OMG! I love it mummy, it’s awesome! I love orange, I love those mices and ………..OMG I love it all!”. If you have kids, you’ll feel the way as me! I’m over the moon, honestly!
And yes, I’ve received so many compliments about this cake, but I think I need to practice more about figurines and airbrushing skills.
