This is a simple Monster High design. The mother sent me a few photos of cakes she liked and we settled on this colour scheme which was used in one of the designs but don’t know the decorator since no watermark. The board, was inspired by the many patchwork cakes and boards I’ve seen here on CD but wanted to make it more “monsterish” so used Monster colours and white stitching. I think it really brings out the cake!

This is one of two cakes for the same family. The other, which will be posted shortly, is a Pop Out Dave the Minion design, for the brother.

One big thing I learned from all you great decorators here on CD is that a dressed board makes a HUGE difference in the overall presentation. I never gave it much thought before but noticed that many of MY favourite designs had great boards. So my new policy is to have a dressed/covered board for every cake unless they don’t want it.
