Asian Theme Birthday Cake

Birthday cake for my son. Chocolate with fresh raspberry filling and dark chocolate ganache. Gum paste orchids, bamboo and buds. I used the paneling technique for the first time with the black fondant. The squares are made from strips with 45 degree angle cuts. Much more labor intensive than I anticipated but I am pleased.
