The most time consuming cake we have ever done! This cake was for my son who is pirate mad 3rd birthday! It was a real challenge as it had a few purposes! 1 – It had to feature Jake and Captain Hook (his favorite characters) 2 – It had to be taken to, look presentable and be lit at 3 different parties! 3 – I dsidnt want Charlie to see it until the 1st party!
So… this is what we came up with! It is a 12" square and 8" round double chocolate fudge cake filled with chocolate buttercream and covered with Belgian chocolate and caramel sugarpaste. The boat is carved from Chocolate cake infused with chocolate cream to give it extra stability. The Figures are plastic and we used bamboo sticks for the sails but everything else is edible! Hope you like it! x
