This is my contribution to the Cakeflix Collaboration . I chose a character from the “Game of Thrones”. I am a big fan of this fantastic series. The character is Leaf one of the Children of the Forest, an ancient race of magical beings. In the television adaptation Game of Thrones she is portrayed by Kae Alexander in Season 6. In this season we also found out that Leaf assisted in the creation of the first White Walkers.
For my piece I wanted to make something different then usually, use new techniques. I decided to push myself and make for the first time a bust cake. It was a challenge but I really enjoyed creating my piece. The whole bust is made from rkt and covered and sculpted in modelling chocolate and some bits with Saracino modelling paste. I used dry Sugarflair and Rolkem blossom edible dust to colour the face and mix of vodka and food colouring paste to paint eyes and lips and some details on the face. Her clothes and vines are made from mix of modelling chocolate and fondant, coloured in brown and highlighted with dry edible dust.
