Ho ho hooooo! & Ha ha haaaa!! This was one of my contributions for the Bake-A-Christmas-Wish collaboration in aid of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The concept was around a “surprise cake” that looks like a normal cake until you cut into it. It is also “a meal in one,” with the top part as the main/savoury part & the bottom part as the dessert part. So, the top half is a “surprise sandwich cake” filled with cold cuts & cheeses + turkey/stuffing/cranberry sauce, which is all decorated with a cream cheese & mayo ‘frosting.’ The bottom part is Rice-Krispies-Treat covered in fondant (oops, as is Santa’s head). I also wanted to make something easy-ish & fun, with no baking required, that anyone can make, regardless of caking experience. Oh, & the movie that this is based around was the “expletive sandwich scene” from “Bad Santa”- starring Billy Bob T. I hope this jolly fella – who stands over a foot tall, and 8 inches wide, brings a smile to your face… & helps to raise lots of money for this wonderful charity. Cheers, Jen
